Avan Sardar

Avan Sardar is a seasoned full-stack developer with expertise in technologies like HTML, CSS, and JavaScript. He has over five years of experience tutoring and mentoring students in web development, preparing them for real-world challenges with a hands-on approach. Avan has worked on high-profile projects, including contributions to the digital asset management system for the Avatar movie series. He is passionate about teaching and inspiring the next generation of developers through practical, project-based learning.

Avan is dedicated to teaching all of his students coding skills to be used in the real world with the best code formatting practices and standards.

Students will learn VS Code, GitHub, and other technologies.

Background: B.S. in Computer Science from the University of New Mexico, with professional experience as a Lead Instructor at General Assembly—one of the nation’s top coding bootcamps—and at James Cameron's Lightstorm Entertainment. Avan has also served as an aide in a special needs classroom, where he honed his patience, adaptability, and commitment to inclusive learning.

Teaching Style: Avan emphasizes practical application over theory, focusing on building real-world projects from day one, fostering entrepreneurial mindsets in his students.

Fun Facts: Avan is a huge Formula 1 fan, and his pup, Checo, is named after his favorite driver, Sergio 'Checo' Pérez. When he's not coding or teaching, you can often find him at stand-up comedy shows, where he loves to unwind and forget about the nasty bug that he has been troubleshooting all day.
